Hello, I’m Shaunta! I grew up in a small town in Missouri before moving to Virginia, then to Charlotte. I have been involved with dogs for about ten years. I had a love for Dalmatians when I was a teenager, and their breed got me started in dog shows. Once I finished high school, I decided to get my first working Cane Corso, Bane. I now have his half-sister, Edna, who I compete with in multiple dog sports including; conformation, agility, lure coursing, obedience and other working sports. I also enjoying working with breed specific rescues doing home visits, temperament testing, training, transporting and fostering.
Through the dog community, I have had the opportunity to learn different training techniques, learn about different breed characteristics, and apply those skills at past jobs. While I love working with all dogs, my heart melts for working breeds. I also have a special interest in puppies. A good foundation during puppyhood can set your dog up for success for their lifetime! On the rare occasion I am not doing anything dog related, I like to go hiking, boating, watch Netflix and cook.
