Brittney

Hi there! I’m Brittney. I grew up loving animals and waiting to be old enough to move out and have my own! My mom was never fond of animals. No matter how much I begged for a pet, I could only have a Beta fish, which I always had! The animal lover in me came from my grandmother who bred the Albino Pekingese and Shih Tzu and she also raised chickens and peacocks. She also spent her days building amazing Koi ponds so I was always found over at her house enjoying spending time with all the animals. Shih Tzu’s are my favorite breed. I love their playful, spunky attitude and how they are always down for a good time! The moment I was out on my own, I knew I had to have a dog. I searched Craigslist until I found 9 month old Teddy, who is now five and the absolute apple of my eye, he really does no wrong! I later decided Teddy needed a buddy so I found sweet little Ellie, also a Shih Tzu, who is momma’s princess and while she is the trouble maker of the family, she is so cute that she gets by with quite a lot! I also adopted a kitty, Lil P, who brightens my world more than I knew was possible! We are looking to expand our family for a boy kitty for Lil P to have a buddy while the pups are at work with me. Finding PetSuites was the best thing that could have happened to me. My background is in administrative work and when I moved to Charlotte I was offered a position in the field. However, I saw the ad for PetSuites and I knew I had to apply! I started as a customer service representative and applied myself to learning everything I could about animals. From different behaviors to how to monitor different health concerns and taking courses that were available in pet health and first aid. My biggest accomplishment in life was becoming the resort manager of PetSuites. My life has never been more fulfilling than working with a group of people who love animals as much as I do and strive to provide the same care we would want for our own pets. I enjoy my work, I am guilty of being a workaholic (It’s easy when you get to be with fur babies all day!) but when I am not at the resort, I enjoy reading, playing video and board games, and being with my own pets doing something outdoors, especially exploring new hiking trails. I am also an active concert goer and I love amusement parks!
